2017 Annual Meeting Career Connections
The NPA Annual Meeting is the only national meeting and networking event dedicated to the postdoctoral community. There are several opportunities for sponsorship that will allow companies, institutions, associations, and societies to connect with postdoctoral researchers in a meaningful way. Postdoctoral scholars conduct research and support discovery in biomedical sciences, physical sciences, social & behavioral sciences, and humanities. They represent the next generation of academia and industry.
The NPA will host an information session the afternoon of Friday, March 17 for companies to showcase their opportunities and interact with postdoctoral scholars. This session will be a round table, speed meet & greet session where companies will give a five minute presentation about their company, followed by brief introductions by each postdocs at the table. Your sponsorship will support the meeting, create goodwill, and increase awareness of your name at their organizations.
As part of this package, each company would receive two complimentary meeting registrations (sending two representatives is not required, but encouraged), participation in the Career Connections event, and an ad on the event app. The first five companies that confirm a spot for this event will receive a complimentary exhibit table as part of the package!
Tentative schedule for the session (2 hours 45 minutes):
- 15 minutes: introductions and instructions on how the event will work
- 1 hour 15 minutes: speed networking
- 15 minute: break
- 1 hour: speed networking
